Ebony Warrior was just a tough, Optional Boss of sorts with no real background. Albeit powerful on their own, still got jacked up by the Dovahkiin and wouldn't even be considered as powerful as others like Miraak or Vahlok. Ulfric was the same way and his only claim of strength was beating someone weaker than himself and did so because he knew he could, as opposed to fighting Balgruuf who'd be much more his equal. Tullius was a military commander who didn't even take the field in the Civil War until the storming of Windhelm. Mercer was kind of a jerk and the only thing making him tough was the Skeleton Key, which still didn't stop the Dovahkiin from offing him.
Instead Vilkas, who just turns into a werewolf, Savos who was ArchMage but didn't do anything aside from send you on a few menial tasks and get killed by a Godly-Artifact powered Ancano.Īstrid who backstabs the Dragonborn, then gets backstabbed by the Imperial Legion and has herself killed after 96% of her body is covered in severe burns and she turns herself into a sacrifice for the Black Sacrament. So you put in a bunch of people who died or were useless in Skyrim instead of other figures in TES lore that actually meant something? Like the Nereverine or the Hero of Kvatch.
